RE: Fibre Optic Services now available to Business.
The Leq’á:mel Development Corporation recently completed phase one of its Fibre Optic infrastructure services which are now available on the east end of Nicomen Island. With a fibre backbone along Highway 7 from Athey Rd. to Johnson Road. Additional fibre was installed into the Leq’á:mel Development Corporation offices, Business Centre, along Johnson Road, Nicomen Island Trunk Road to Worth Road and the entrance to the Papekwatchin Business Park.
If you own or operate a business along this route and would like to discuss the benefits of full fibre internet for a reasonable fee we would like to discuss your needs and compare it to what you have now.
The Leq’á:mel Development Corporation (LDC) is the wholly owned economic development entity for Leq’á:mel First Nation (LFN) and prides itself on providing timely and effective business engagement and development services for the growth of LFN. Our primary goal is to lead and guide the development and success of economic growth with the fundamental goal of creating more sustainable employment for members and families while ensuring the sustainability of ecosystems and lands for future generations and abiding by the policies and laws governing activities on Leq’á:mel Lands. This approach ensures that history, culture and quality of life not only remains intact but also improves for the Leq’á:mel First Nation’s members and the entire community.
We will expand the service area depending on demand and as projects are built. Residential and other services will also be added as demand arises. Residential services are not yet available.
